Central News Company

The Central News Co. was a significant publisher and distributor of postcards, newspapers, and periodicals through its regional branches in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Akron, Ohio.

Established in 1877, the Central News Company primarily produced view cards of the mid-Atlantic region. It operated until 1996 when it was acquired by United Magazine. The Akron, Ohio branch specialized in producing view cards of Ohio and western Pennsylvania.
